RCL Reflection for Transfiguration Sunday, Year B, Feb. 11, 2024. No, we weren’t on the mountaintop with Jesus, but the light of Christ and the presence of Jesus is all around us. Jesus still reveals the glory of God in ways both ordinary and extraordinary. All we need do are listen and look. (Photo: Rich Gibson, Creative Commons))
Double-portion relationships
RCL Reflection, Transfiguration Sunday, Year B, February 14, 2021
This week’s lessons invite us to ponder the value of good relationships, both within our faith community and without. Relationships matter—greatly. We are not, as John Donne reminds, “islands unto ourselves.” We are built for and thrive when we have a circle of relationships that affirm, correct, bless, and challenge us. (Image: JESUS MAFA. Dazed, Confused, Blinded, and Transfigured
Transfiguration of our Lord, Year B
Dazed, confused, and blinded, we are nonetheless being changed by the transfigured Christ. We, with our meager gifts and fragile faith, are stewards of this amazing good news even as we are being transformed and made new in Christ. (Photo: Edger Chambon 94, Creative Commons)
